Warranty
LIMITED WARRANTY AND WARRANTY DISCLAIMER
At Palm Beach Golf Cars, we stand firmly behind the quality, performance, and reliability of every cart we roll off our lot. Our goal is simple: to make sure you get a dependable ride backed by knowledgeable support and honest after-sales service.
This Limited Warranty outlines exactly what is covered, what your responsibilities are as the owner, and how to handle a claim if something goes wrong.
1. Limited Warranty Coverage
Palm Beach Golf Cars provides a warranty to the original purchaser that every new golf cart bought directly from our dealership will be free from material and workmanship defects when used normally and properly.
- The Timeline: Warranty coverage typically ranges from 3 months to 1 year, depending on the specific manufacturer and cart model.
- The Details: Exact warranty specifics are included in your manufacturer’s paperwork, or you can verify them anytime by reaching out to our support crew.
- The Scope: This coverage applies exclusively to units purchased directly from us at our West Palm Beach location.
Warranty Eligibility To qualify for warranty service, you need to meet the following criteria:
- You must be the original purchaser.
- The cart must have been purchased directly from Palm Beach Golf Cars (https://pbgolfcars.com).
- You must provide valid proof of purchase (such as an invoice or receipt).
- The cart must have been maintained and operated according to the manufacturer’s guidelines, without being modified beyond factory specifications.
2. What Is Not Covered
We want to be completely transparent. This Limited Warranty does not cover:
Normal Wear & Tear
- Everyday use and routine degradation.
- Consumables like tires, brake pads, belts, bulbs, filters, and other standard service items.
- Damage caused by skipping recommended routine maintenance.
Misuse or Negligence
- Improper driving, reckless handling, or poor storage.
- Damage from accidents, collisions, fire, vandalism, or harsh environmental conditions.
- Slapping on incompatible or unauthorized aftermarket parts.
- Overloading the cart past its recommended weight or seating capacity.
Unauthorized Work or Modifications
- Hacking or modifying the frame, motor, controller, suspension, or electrical system.
- Attempting to bypass built-in speed governors or factory safety features.
- Having repairs done by unapproved, third-party mechanics.
Cosmetic Issues
- Standard scratches, paint chips, sun fading, minor rust, or other aesthetic blemishes that do not affect how the cart drives or functions.
Other Exclusions
- Water damage, flooding, or submersion (golf carts aren’t boats!).
- Commercial or heavy rental use, unless the cart was specifically rated and sold for that exact purpose.
3. Our Limited Remedy
If we confirm a defect that falls under this warranty, Palm Beach Golf Cars will:
- Supply the necessary replacement parts at no cost to you.
- Help you navigate the manufacturer’s warranty processing system.
- Replace the defective components in line with the manufacturer’s guidelines.
Customer Responsibilities While we cover the parts, customers are responsible for:
- Labor costs for removing the old parts and installing the new ones.
- Transportation or shipping costs to get the cart or the parts to us.
- Ensuring the cart makes it safely to our facility or an authorized service center. (Note: You hold the risk of loss during transit until the product safely reaches us).
Exclusive Remedy: Subject to applicable local laws, the remedies listed above are your sole recourse for warranty defects.
4. Incidental & Consequential Damage Disclaimer
Except where prohibited by law, Palm Beach Golf Cars is not liable for:
- Loss of your time or loss of use of the cart.
- Renting a backup cart, paying for alternate transportation, or storage fees.
- Any indirect, special, incidental, or consequential damages.
Our total financial liability will always be strictly capped at the original purchase price of the product.
5. Keeping Your Warranty Valid (Customer Responsibilities)
Use Approved Technicians Any warranty-related repairs must be performed by Palm Beach Golf Cars or a technician we explicitly approve in advance.
Stick to the Service Schedule
- Get your first service done within the first 6 weeks of use.
- Keep up with regular servicing every 6 months for carts that see consistent use.
- Full annual maintenance is highly recommended to keep things running smoothly.
Proper Care
- Keep your cart clean, properly lubricated, and stored out of harsh weather.
- Wash off mud, sand, and debris from the undercarriage and moving parts after a rough off-road ride.
- Keep lubricants far away from your brake surfaces!
Return Requirements If you have a claim related to the frame or structure, the cart must be returned to us clean so our team can properly evaluate the issue.
Warranty Void Situations We hate voiding warranties, but we will have to if:
- You attempt major repairs without our authorization.
- You install unapproved aftermarket parts that interfere with the cart’s systems.
- You disassemble components beyond what is outlined in your user manual.
- You remove or alter factory safety features or speed limiters.
(Note: Nothing in this policy limits your statutory rights under U.S. or Florida consumer protection laws.)
